Small Grant Projects
Awards are available up to $15,000 for private landowners to perform restoration projects on their land. These grants allow for quick implementation.

Since 2014, the U.S. Forest Service (FS) and USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service
(NRCS) have been working together to improve the health of forests where public and private
lands meet. Through the Joint Chiefs’ Landscape Restoration Partnership, the two USDA
agencies are restoring the health of the forest, reducing wildfire threats to communities and
landowners, protecting water quality, and enhancing wildlife habitat.

With an inefficient irrigation system, landowners lacked the ability to manage their on-farm irrigation water efficiently, which created resource issues.
To solve these resource issues, a Conserving Water and Power through Irrigation Water Management partnership formed. Lisa and her neighbors were able to replace the antiquated irrigation delivery system and take advantage of pressurized water made available from a recent canal piping project near their properties.
