Why is there a need for the program?
Several farmers and ranchers in Deschutes County, who raise livestock, face many challenges utilizing and storing their manure. In most cases, there is more manure produced than can be used. The Manure Exchange Program provides a mechanism to connect those who need a fresh source of manure/compost with ones that have too much.
How does the program work?
If you are interested in being listed on the Manure Exchange Program list, click on the “Become a Provider” link below, fill in the information form, and then click “Submit.” You will receive a verification email within 24 hours and your name will be added to the list of local manure providers.
If you are looking for a source of manure, click on the “Need a Provider” link below to view the list of providers in your areas. Scheduling the pick up will be up to you and the provider.
