Citizen Budget Committee Members

Deschutes SWCD is seeking community members to join our Budget Committee.

This committee serves as the District’s fiscal planning advisory committee for the proposed Annual Budget.

Every year Deschutes SWCD looks to add members from our community. Applications will be reviewed and selected at a special board meeting to be held in March.

Membership: The committee shall consist of the Board of Directors of the District, plus up to 7 registered voters who reside within the District’s boundaries.

Time Commitment: 4–8 hours (1–4 meetings) in May and June, depending on budget discussions.

Meeting Times: Two (2) meetings in April as the District budget is prepared. Scheduled meetings shall be held virtually and in person in 2025.

Qualifications: Must be a registered voter in Deschutes County and reside within the Deschutes Soil and Water Conservation District boundaries.

Term Length: 3 years.
