About the Presentation

Learn the techniques of Gardening Smarter…...NOT Harder. Accessible design, tool adaptations, and tips to self-evaluate your current garden practices. Lane County Master Gardeners Adaptive Gardening Specialists' goal is for you to enjoy and stay in your gardens for life.

About the Presenters

Shirley Betournay became a Master Gardener in 2012 after a 37-year teaching career. She serves on four Master Gardener committees, enjoys mentoring new trainees, and is a co-chair of Lane County Master Gardeners Adaptive Gardening Specialists.

Sharon Roberts completed the Master Gardener training in 2019. Having had two hip replacements, she joined the Adaptive Gardening Committee and earned her badge the same year she completed the MG training. She is particularly keen on using tools that make gardening easier and gentler on joints with the goal of enjoying gardening now and into the future.

This seminar is sponsored by the Lane County Master Gardener Association (LCMGA). The LCMGA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization formed in support of the Lane County OSU Extension Master Gardener program.
