Board Members

The Deschutes Soil and Water Conservation District is governed by a board of seven Directors and is divided into five zones (Redmond, Tumalo, Sisters, Alfalfa, and South County). To qualify as a Zone Director, you must own or manage 10+ acres, live within that zone, and be a registered voter. Directors are elected by the electorate of Deschutes County at the November General Election, which is held during even-numbered years. There are seven positions that make up the Deschutes SWCD board, five zone directors and two at-large positions. Each board member serves a 4-year term. The Directors must meet the requirements and terms of office as specified in state statute ORS 568.560.
