Join the Deschutes SWCD Board of Directors – Zone 1 & Zone 3 Openings

The Deschutes Soil and Water Conservation District is seeking applicants for two open positions on our Board of Directors:

Zone 1 – Redmond area
Zone 3 – Tumalo area

These positions play a vital role in guiding conservation efforts, supporting local landowners, and shaping the future of natural resource stewardship in Deschutes County.

Requirements

Applicants must:

Own or manage 10 or more acres within the zone they are applying for.
Be a registered voter in Deschutes County.
Have an interest in conservation, agriculture, forestry, natural resources, or community engagement.
Be familiar with the district’s mission and the unique character of our local communities.
Be able to commit to a four-year term and attend monthly board meetings (with occasional additional events or trainings).
Serve as a volunteer; this is an unpaid position.
